Gravitics has secured a $1.7 million Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from SpaceWERX, the innovation branch of the U.S. Space Force.

The company's flagship concept, StarMax, encapsulates a cylindrical module boasting an impressive aluminum frame spanning 7.6 meters in diameter, offering a voluminous capacity of 400 cubic meters. Such dimensions rival nearly 40% of the entire International Space Station's volume, underscoring the scale and ambition of Gravitics' vision.

"Gravitics’ commercial space station modules can support a wide range of military and civilian applications, including in-space rapid response applications." - Gravitics

In collaboration with Space Systems Command’s Space Safari Program Office, Gravitics is poised to deploy its groundbreaking technologies equipping the USSF with tactically responsive space applications, abbreviated as TacRS.

"We are looking at all options to meet the mission on tactically relevant timelines. The Gravitics space station module offers an unconventional and potentially game-changing solution for TacRS," - Lt. Col. Jason Altenhofen, Space Safari Director of Operations (a part of Space Systems Command)

For Gravitics, the Space Force contract symbolizes not a departure, but rather an amplification, of its overarching mission.

"Developing and manufacturing commercial space station modules will continue to be at the core of our company mission." - Colin Doughan, Gravitics Chief Executive
